  • Promoted to a commercial Finance Manager role in the UK business of a FTSE-100 company responsible for all areas of financial management within a c. £300 million turnover division, comprising almost 200 branches, 2 distribution warehouses, head & area offices.
  • Control of Divisional Accounts, KPI’s & reporting & presenting to CI Divisional Directors, Senior Management Teams, and branch network.

LLOYDS CHEMISTS GROUP

1995 - Apr99 Barclay Pharmaceuticals Ltd (Distribution Division). 
  • Management Accountant responsible for control and reconciling nominal ledger, fixed asset and warehouse systems, vat returns, preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end stat packs.
  • Supervision of 15 accounts staff; purchase ledger, sales ledger, overheads ledger.
  • Budgeting & variance analysis producing control info for warehouse managers and divisional controllers.
  • Consolidation and integration of Barclay Pharmaceuticals systems into AAH Pharms following takeover of Lloyds Group by Gehe Gmbh, & running down accounts of  other subsidiary companies where operations were either discontinued or sold.

  • Group Accountant. Production of weekly KPI (financial & non-financial) data presented to Board.

  • Manufacturer of paints & related products. Customer Services dealing with full range of customer requirements. Promoted to supervisor within 18 months, & then advanced to Commercial Services, focusing on projects, purchasing and stock control, forecasts, budgeting and expense controls.
  • Promoted to Financial Accountant. Preparation of monthly accounts, sales figures/analysis and balance sheet reconciliations. Responsible for billing control, including new system development/training, and control of stocktaking procedures and activities.

  • Treasurer of Royal British Legion Leyburn Branch (2007-current), and assisting in fundraising activities for local branch and National
    Poppy Appeal.
